These terms govern your use of the TeachSnap app and website ("TeachSnap"). By using TeachSnap you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
What TeachSnap does
TeachSnap turns a photo of your child's homework into a short teaching script for the parent. It is a study aid — not a homework-completion service. The "final answer" feature is gated behind an explicit reveal step on purpose so the adult can teach the steps first.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account or purchase a subscription. The app is intended for use by parents and caregivers of school-age children.
Subscription & auto-renewal
TeachSnap is free to try (1 scan + 1 answer reveal). Upgrading to Pro unlocks unlimited scans, full teaching scripts, practice questions, flashcards, printables, child profiles, and co-parent / teacher sharing.
Pro is offered as a 7-day free trial then $49.99 / year, or $4.99 / week with no trial. Local prices may vary; the exact amount is shown to you on the purchase screen before you confirm.
Auto-renewal: Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period (yearly or weekly) for the same price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase, and again at each renewal.
How to cancel
You can cancel any time from Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → TeachSnap → Cancel Subscription on your iPhone. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep Pro until then. Cancelling during the 7-day free trial avoids any charge.
Refunds
Apple processes all subscription refunds for iOS purchases. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com to request one. TeachSnap cannot process refunds on Apple's behalf. Outside of mandatory consumer-protection laws, all sales are final.
Acceptable use
- Only scan worksheets that belong to your own child or a child you support.
- Do not upload images of other people's children, IDs, or unrelated content.
- Do not attempt to bypass the safety checks, paywall, or rate limits.
- Do not use TeachSnap to cheat on graded or proctored assessments.
- Do not resell, scrape, or redistribute generated content at scale.
AI-generated content
Teaching scripts, practice questions, flashcards, and printables are generated by an AI model (OpenAI). We apply safety, PII-stripping, and verification checks, but AI can still get things wrong. Always review the script before teaching it. The "Report a problem" button on every result helps us improve. You are responsible for the educational decisions you make using the app.
Your content
You retain ownership of any photos and text you upload. You grant TeachSnap a limited, worldwide license to process that content solely to provide the service to you (e.g. sending the photo to our AI provider, storing the result, syncing across your devices). We do not use your content to train AI models.
Account & access
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Data & Privacy or by emailing [email protected]. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that pose a safety risk.
No warranty
TEACHSNAP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT TEACHING SCRIPTS WILL BE FREE OF ERRORS OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TEACHSNAP, ITS OWNERS, AND ITS SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR PRO IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.
Indemnification
You agree to defend and indemnify TeachSnap from claims arising out of your misuse of the app or your violation of these terms.
Governing law & disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California, and you consent to that jurisdiction. Nothing here limits your non-waivable consumer-protection rights in your country of residence.
Apple App Store terms
If you obtained the app from the Apple App Store, the Apple-required EULA terms also apply. Apple is not responsible for the app or its support; TeachSnap is. You agree that Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these terms and may enforce them against you.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be highlighted in the app the next time you open it. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
